Working Locally to Prevent Abuse

At LACASA Center, we provide classes, workshops and programs aimed at preventing child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault.

Our Community Education awareness initiatives are offered for:

Healthy Families — A home-visiting program

‘Fathers Only’ Program — For male role models

‘Baby B Safe’ Class — For parents & child caregivers

Stewards of Children — Preventing child sexual abuse

Shaken Baby Syndrome — Teaching students never to shake a baby

This workshop teaches middle school and high school students about the Period of Purple Crying — a normal stage of infant development when a baby won’t stop crying, and why you should never, ever shake a baby.  Learn more >>


FASD Workshop – The dangers of fetal alcohol syndrome
