PRESS RELEASE

Free CAP Kids’ Fair Set for June 2 & 3

LACASA’s Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Council will hold its annual CAP Kids’ Fair, sponsored by Blue Cross Complete, on Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Pinckney’s Art in the Park Festival.

“The CAP Kids’ Fair is one of our most fun events of the year,” said Holly Naylor, CAP Council coordinator. “We enjoy providing this opportunity for parents to get valuable health and safety information while enjoying spending time together as a family.”

This year’s CAP Kids’ Fair will again feature a free ice cream and book for each child while supplies last, a Saturday visit from one of Livingston County Sheriff’s Mounted Division horses, crafts, and a Pirate Treasure Hunt.

“The Pirate Treasure Hunt is a great way for families to explore both the CAP Kids’ Fair and Art in the Park,” said Naylor. Kids and parents who visit each CAP Kids’ Fair exhibitor and participating Art in the Park non-profit booths will earn a raffle ticket to go toward a prize.

Treasure Hunt raffle prizes include:

  • Acoustic guitar
  • “Day in Hell” gift basket
  • “Positively Pinckney” basket
  • Children’s toys

The last Treasure Maps will be given out Sunday at 3 p.m. The prize drawing will take place on Sunday at 4 p.m. Winners do not need to be present at the drawing.

Families also can enjoy Art in the Park festivities, which feature original and unique art from over 100 vendors, entertainment, and lots of food and drink options.

Art in the Park is held in the Putnam Township Square in downtown Pinckney.
