Since 1981, our independent nonprofit organization has provided comprehensive, wrap-around services for victims of child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault. LACASA Center, which is located in Howell, Michigan, is a mission-driven agency committed to providing victims and survivors with compassionate and confidential services that help them heal and rebuild their lives.
POSITION OVERVIEW: We currently seek a Full-Time Building Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for the maintenance, care, and efficient operation of all equipment, vehicles and facilities used by the organization. Responsibilities will encompass servicing, maintaining and repairing building systems, which include electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. In addition, general skills in carpentry and painting are required.
QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, although an Associate’s degree is preferred. At least five years’ of maintenance experience is essential. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding—and/or the ability to quickly learn—the agency’s equipment and facilities. Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical and HVAC is required. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential to interpret written directions in manuals or on manufacturers’ websites. Must have the ability to adhere to maintenance schedules for building systems and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as it is required to complete and maintain records.
