LACASA Collection is an upscale charity resale boutique located in Kensington Valley Outlets in Howell, Michigan. All proceeds from our store and online sales stay local and fund critical programs for victims of child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual violence at LACASA Center.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Key Holder is a vital member of the LACASA Collection team, responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, excellent customer service, and a welcoming, organized store environment. As a Key Holder, this person carries responsibilities for store security, staff oversight, and achieving sales goals while upholding LACASA’s mission and values. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the store’s mission while growing leadership and operational skills in a dynamic retail environment.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required. Previous retail or customer service experience and leadership experience is a plus. Candidate must possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail, as well as being well versed in customer service strategies and communication skills.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable with multi-tasking and handling managerial responsibilities. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a bonus.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • Assess customers’ needs, provide assistance, and answer questions about merchandise
  • Perform product demonstrations and suggest items to improve sales.
  • Collaborate with management to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Carry keys and alarm codes; open and close the store, disarming and arming alarm systems as required.
  • Supervise daily procedures and ensure adherence to inventory control processes.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe public-facing stock and employee areas.
  • Monitor and assist cashiers, staff, and volunteers, assign daily duties.
  • Train and support new team members to ensure a cohesive team environment.
  • Handle managerial tasks in the absence of the general and assistant managers.
  • Check and respond to emails and phone messages in a timely manner.
  • Manage paperwork and office tasks, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with management on marketing and promotional campaigns to drive store traffic and sales.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to store processes, safety standards, and organizational policies.

Work Environment: This role may require standing for extended periods, lifting/moving products, and occasional work outside of regular business hours for cleaning, maintenance, stocking, or deliveries. Work occurs in a fast-paced retail environment.
