At LACASA Center, we provide classes, workshops and programs aimed at preventing child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault.

Healthy Families — A home-visiting program

Sleeping, Crying, Driving — For parents & child caregivers

This one-hour online class, developed in partnership with MSU Extension, teaches new parents about safe sleep, how to cope with infant crying, and car seat safety. Learn more >>

Shaken Baby Syndrome — Teaching students never to shake a baby

This workshop teaches middle school and high school students about the Period of Purple Crying — a normal stage of infant development when a baby won’t stop crying, and why you should never, ever shake a baby.  Learn more >>


Body Safety Training – Teaching students to keep their bodies safe

This child sexual abuse risk reduction program is offered to first grade students in Livingston County. Students learn about being the Boss of Their Body, keeping their bodies safe from dangers such as poison, fire, guns, and strangers, and the Body Safety Rule- It is not ok for anyone to look at, or touch, private parts.  Learn more >>
