LACASA Center and the Kellogg Family Foundation offer Nurturing Parenting programs throughout the year.

This award-winning class series is designed for parents of young children who are ages newborn through 11-years-old.

Parents learn a variety of parenting skills including:

  • Stages of child development
  • Empathy
  • Appropriate expectations
  • Positive discipline
  • Parent/Child roles
  • Coping techniques
  • Power and independence

LACASA’s Nurturing Parenting sessions are scheduled at various times throughout the fall and winter.

The multi-week program is $75 for one parent, or $100 for two parents, and includes class publications, materials and light snacks. Limited scholarships are available. The series is for parents only; we regret that child care is not available.

To find out when our next series is being offered, contact our Nurturing Parenting Department at 517-548-1350.
