Brighton Ford Donates New E-Transit Van to LACASA
In the true spirit of the giving season, Brighton Ford has donated a new Ford E-Transit van to LACASA, strengthening our ability to serve survivors of child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual violence throughout Livingston County.
The donation was celebrated at Brighton Ford with a ceremonial ribbon cutting and formal handoff of the keys. Community members, staff, board members, elected officials, and supporters gathered to mark the occasion. The E-Transit van will support client transportation, delivery of essential resources, and community outreach across the county.
“We appreciate so much what LACASA does to provide safety and security to so many in need,” said John Cueter, president of Brighton Ford. “We’re honored to be able to close out the holiday season in such a special way.”
LACASA is the only agency of its kind in Michigan, and one of only a handful nationwide, to provide comprehensive services under one roof, including a Crisis Shelter for people and their pets, a 24/7 Helpline, counseling, advocacy, and prevention education, all at no cost to victims. Reliable transportation plays a vital role in ensuring survivors can safely access these services.
“LACASA belongs to the community, and we can’t do what we do without the community,” said Bobette Schrandt, LACASA president & CEO. “Each time this vehicle is on the road, it will help share who we are and what we do.”
The donation reflects Brighton Ford’s ongoing commitment to community partnership. During the event, Karen Storey, president of the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce, and State Representative Ann Bollin (R–Brighton Township) presented Brighton Ford with a Community Impact Award, recognizing the dealership’s longstanding support of local organizations and residents.
