Be a hero for a local foster child

LACASA’s Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program has been serving the community for more than a decade.

We invite you to learn more about our CASA program and how you can help by donating or volunteering.

Your support will change the life of a foster child right here at home.

Helping children in the family court system

We began our exciting collaboration with the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program in 2011. Since then, LACASA and CASA have accomplished good things for the children of Livingston County who are in the court system due to abuse or neglect.

  • The Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program at LACASA Center provides highly-trained community volunteers to advocate for the best interest of children who come into the court system as a result of abuse or neglect.
  • CASA Volunteers attend a specialized training program and upon completion are appointed to serve as a CASA by a family court judge.
  • Our CASA team includes more than 50 volunteers who advocate for foster children throughout Livingston County.
  • The leadership and specially-trained volunteers of CASA work closely with local family court representatives and the Department of Human Services to safeguard the well-being and basic human rights of these children.
