Get Ready to Tune In! WHMI Cares Radiothon to Benefit LACASA and Local Charities on October 9, 2025

 

We are thrilled to announce that LACASA will be a beneficiary of the first WHMI Cares Radiothon, taking place on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.! This inaugural event, hosted by our wonderful community partners at WHMI 93.5 FM, is a powerful day of giving that unites Livingston County in support of four vital local non-profit organizations: LACASA, the Livingston County United Way, the Salvation Army of Livingston County, and Gleaners Community Food Bank.

The WHMI Cares Radiothon is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a day-long celebration of community spirit and generosity. For 13 hours, WHMI 93.5 FM will dedicate its airwaves to highlighting the incredible work being done by LACASA and the other local charities.

How Your Support Makes a Difference for LACASA:

The funds raised during the WHMI Cares Radiothon are absolutely crucial for LACASA Center. As the leading provider of crisis intervention and support services for survivors of child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual violence  in Livingston County, LACASA relies on community support to keep our doors open and our services free and confidential.

Every dollar raised helps us provide:

  • Emergency Shelter: A safe haven for those fleeing violence.
  • Crisis Intervention: Immediate support and guidance.
  • Legal Advocacy: Assistance navigating the legal system.
  • Counseling: Healing and recovery for adults and children.
  • Prevention & Education: Programs designed to break the cycle of violence.
