LACASA Center and the LACASA Collection help thousands of local victims, survivors and their families each year. We are always in need of basic necessities, food items, paper goods, cleaning products, and general operating supplies.

Donation Information

LACASA Center: Donations can be dropped off at LACASA Center Monday – Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Any donations of items not listed on our Wish List need to be approved beforehand. Please contact our Vice President of Adult Services for approval at (517) 548-1350 or email info@lacasacenter.org. 

You also may order items to donate listed on our Amazon Wish List. These donations will be shipped directly to us!

LACASA Collection: You may donate new and gently-used adult clothing & accessories; children’s clothing & toys; and household kitchen, décor & furnishings at the LACASA Collection, our unique resale boutique in Howell. This is the place where the public shops for great finds and our clients shop for the things they need at no charge. Visit the LACASA Collection website to view donation hours and guidelines.

We can’t accept some items

Due to health and safety regulations, the shelter is prohibited from accepting any used items. If you want to donate new, nearly new or gently-used clothing, children’s toys, household items, or furnishings, please bring donations to the LACASA Collection, our upscale resale store. This is the place where our clients are empowered to shop with dignity for the things they need at no charge.

  • Baby-Proofing Items: cabinet locks, door knob covers, outlet plugs, toilet locks, bumpers for tables, refrigerator locks, fire safety door latches, baby gates

Kitchen Needs

  • Pantry Items: Apple juice; apple sauce (lg. and indiv. servings); cake mix & frosting; canned fruit; cereal; coffee; creamer (reg. and flavored); individually wrapped snacks; Jello (box and indiv. pre-made); juice boxes; mayonnaise; microwave popcorn; olive oil; salad dressing; salt; spices; sugar; vegetable/cooking oil

  • Cleaning Supplies: Pine-Sol; disinfectant spray & wipes for kitchens and bathrooms; Swiffer Wet Jet pad refills and liquid cleaner refills; toilet bowl cleaner; stainless steel cleaner; furniture polish; air fresheners (sprays and plug ins); bleach; vinegar; Windex, Pledge; all-purpose cleaning spray
  • Dust Busters: for use in shelter, children’s center and counseling areas

Children & Youth Programs
