LACASA is proud to be part of the national Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program and the profound difference it makes in the lives of sexual assault victims.

The national SANE program emerged out of a need to protect victims during times of extreme vulnerability.

Emergency rooms normally require long waits in a public setting and medical insurance information is required. Following an assault, victims need privacy, confidentiality and the compassion of specially-trained professionals.
