Thursday, June 20 ~ Join us for a summer evening with local wordsmiths and storytellers as they weave tales that entertain and inspire. This is a fundraising event for LACASA Center hosted by Maria Stuart, editor of The Livingston Post, and Mona Shand, journalist and communications consultant.
Early November ~ Grab a friend and welcome the holiday season in style at this annual, fun-filled event! Proceeds from this festive evening benefit LACASA and help victims of child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault in our community.

June 1 & 2, 2019 ~ Come out for free family fun at the CAP Kids’ Fair. Our Child Abuse Prevention Council hosts a free awareness and activity tent all weekend for children and parents during the Pinckney Art Fair.
April 24, 2019 ~ We invite workplaces to encourage employees to make a small donation in return for wearing jeans to work. Donate the proceeds to help sexual assault victims.
April – All Month ~ Look for our Clothesline Project displays at libraries throughout the county to commemorate National Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The Clothesline Project T-shirts were created by abuse victims and survivors from LACASA.
Early Spring & Early Fall ~ Our prom and homecoming pop-up boutiques offer high school girls a chance to purchase fairy tale dresses at vintage prices.
April – All Month ~ We launch our Pinwheels for Prevention campaign in April, when we host a community gathering to raise awareness during National Child Abuse Prevention month.
Friday, April 26 • 7-9 pm ~ Every Two Minutes is a call for change. This locally produced documentary asks us to tear down society’s myths and misconceptions about sexual assault, and to finally just listen and believe.
October ~ We host this celebration to share child safety, child development and positive parenting information with new and expectant parents, plus there are lots of giveaways!
